TASTING NOTES As in years past, our versatile, food friendly Sonoma Coast bottling draws from a selection of cooler vineyard blocks that come together to provide a Chardonnay with charming elegance and naturally derived vitality. We take care in the cellar to raise this wine with very little new oak (roughly 10% in 2013) minimal lees stirring, and only partial malolactic fermentation to retain natural acidity. These methods help preserve the delicacy of our vibrant fruit sources and give full voice to the coastal influences suggested by its name. On release, the 2013 is taught and focused with a crisp citrus/mineral edge. If you are drinking it early, we’d heartily suggest an extended aeration for maximum enjoyment. Over a few days, the wine softens and opens aromatically as it begins to reveal it’s true charms. So decant right now, or give it some time in the cellar to reach it’s optimum drinking window. This particular vintage reminds us of 2004 and 2007, both of which produced wonderfully long-lived, complex wines that have blossomed and expanded beautifully over time. We look forward to following this one on its journey!

A note from Jones’n for a Cure: Jones'n for a Cure is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity (EIN No. 82-5189128) created by Rick's wife Christy and a few of his close friends to honor his memory. Rick and Christy always believed that there had to be a way to help other people not go through the same thing they went through. Along the way we've met so many others who have been impacted by brain tumors and hope our fundraising can help them in their journey. To date, we've donated over $100,000 to the National Brain Tumor Society in support of our shared mission. All auction proceeds will go directly to the National Brain Tumor Society and the very important work that they do! We greatly appreciate your support and we wish you the best of luck in your bidding! If you have any questions, please feel free to send them to jonesnforacure@gmail.com.
